Imagine being tiny, lost, and unable to walk straight.

That was the reality for a young badger cub recently found in Beer, Devon. The little cub was found disoriented, confused, and struggling with unusual body movements.

Thanks to our incredible community, this story has a beautiful ending. Here is how teamwork and a lot of driving saved a life:

The Call: Our swift helpline operator took the urgent report and immediately dispatched a local rescuer.

The Vet Check: Our rescuer safely secured the cub and rushed it to a local Devon vet.

The Long Journey: Due to deep concerns about the cub’s mobility, our dedicated rescuer didn’t hesitate to drive the cub all the way from Devon up to the specialists at RSPCA West Hatch Wildlife in Somerset the very next day. 🚗💨

The Release: After receiving top-tier care, the healthy cub made the long trip back on 10 June and was successfully released into the wild!

We couldn’t do this without you. Going the extra mile, literally, is only possible because of our amazing helpline operators, dedicated rescuers, and you, our wonderful members and supporters. Your subscriptions and generous donations fund these long-distance lifesaving missions every single day.
